UV printing on bottles: designing for a 360° print area
· PrintSide.eu

A bottle design can tell more of your brand’s story when the artwork continues around it. The first decision is what you want people to notice.
Start with one clear idea
Choose a main element: a logo, a short message or a distinctive pattern. Then give everything else a supporting role. You could keep the logo prominent on one side and continue a simple graphic around the bottle, rather than filling every space with text.
Match the idea to the method
UV printing can be used for a 360° print area on suitable cylindrical bottles without handles. It uses CMYK and white; an exact Pantone match is not guaranteed. Check the chosen item’s printable area before finishing the artwork.
Three questions before approving your design
- Is the main message easy to understand at a glance?
- Does the composition still work when only part of the bottle is visible?
- Have you reviewed the artwork against the chosen product’s print template?
For a team gift, consider a restrained brand pattern. For an event, try one short message with a graphic theme. These are design starting points: the final layout should follow the actual product and its printing specifications.
Start with the bottle and the message. Build the artwork around both.
