Digital printing

Digital printing reproduces a design from a file without a separate screen for every spot colour. In this catalogue, the exact process depends on the item: direct digital printing or printing on paper-based packaging. At PrintSide, availability depends on the product and decoration position you choose.

When to choose digital printing

Colourful logos, photographs and gradients on products offering this option. Check the available methods on the product before preparing your design.

Colours and colour count

Full colour, usually produced with CMYK. Four process inks can reproduce many image colours. Exact Pantone reproduction is not guaranteed; white ink depends on the process.

The limit applies to a specific decoration position, not necessarily to every position on the item. If brand colour is critical, provide your colour references when requesting a quotation.

How to prepare your artwork

Provide a sharp vector design or high-resolution image at the intended size. Follow the product template and confirm how any white areas will be produced.

  • Prepare the design at its intended physical size and use the selected product's template where available.
  • For logos, keep an editable vector original; outline fonts or supply the required font information.
  • For photographs, use the original high-resolution image. Enlarging a small image does not restore detail.
  • Confirm accepted upload formats and any minimum line thickness or text size for your chosen product.

What to check before ordering

midocean direct digital printing uses UV curing; Anda digital printing also covers paper packaging. Check the selected item rather than relying on the method name alone.

The print area, material, item colour and finish can affect the appearance. Follow the care instructions supplied for the decorated product.

Questions about digital printing

Can I use this method on any product?

No. Use the methods and positions offered for the selected item. If you are unsure, send us the product reference and your artwork so we can check suitability.

How do I compare alternative methods?

Start with your design: solid colours, photographs, fine details or a textured finish. Then compare the available methods on the item. Read about uv printing.

Order with PrintSide

Choose your product, check its decoration options and upload your artwork through the customizer. We confirm the design, placement and production details in a print proof before manufacturing. Review spelling, size and position carefully; a screen preview does not show the finished material or reproduce its colours exactly.
