When to choose embroidery
Compatible caps, bags and apparel, especially simple logos with a textured finish. Check the available methods on the product before preparing your design.
Colours and colour count
Colours are selected from a thread palette. midocean offers up to 15 thread colours on suitable items; available colours and limits vary. Pantone references guide thread selection.
The limit applies to a specific decoration position, not necessarily to every position on the item. If brand colour is critical, provide your colour references when requesting a quotation.
How to prepare your artwork
Supply a clear logo, preferably vector, and simplify small letters, narrow gaps and gradients. A design file still needs conversion into embroidery instructions.
- Prepare the design at its intended physical size and use the selected product's template where available.
- For logos, keep an editable vector original; outline fonts or supply the required font information.
- For photographs, use the original high-resolution image. Enlarging a small image does not restore detail.
- Confirm accepted upload formats and any minimum line thickness or text size for your chosen product.
What to check before ordering
Digital transfer is often a better starting point for photographic textile designs.
The print area, material, item colour and finish can affect the appearance. Follow the care instructions supplied for the decorated product.
