When to choose transfer printing

Colours and colour count
Separate spot colours, with Pantone references. midocean describes up to 8 PMS colours; the selected product and position determine the actual maximum.
The limit applies to a specific decoration position, not necessarily to every position on the item. If brand colour is critical, provide your colour references when requesting a quotation.
How to prepare your artwork
Use vector artwork, separate solid colours and outlined text. Avoid photographic gradients unless a suitable process has been confirmed.
- Prepare the design at its intended physical size and use the selected product's template where available.
- For logos, keep an editable vector original; outline fonts or supply the required font information.
- For photographs, use the original high-resolution image. Enlarging a small image does not restore detail.
- Confirm accepted upload formats and any minimum line thickness or text size for your chosen product.
What to check before ordering
Screen transfer uses spot-colour separations; digital transfer is suited to full-colour images.
The print area, material, item colour and finish can affect the appearance. Follow the care instructions supplied for the decorated product.
